VenQore began with one problem: a shop could ring up a thousand sales a day and still not answer whether it actually made money. So we rebuilt retail software on real double-entry accounting and obsessed over every detail in between.
Three lies we refused to keep telling
- Tax counted as revenue: most systems fold the VAT/GST you owe the government straight into "revenue," inflating the top line by 10-20%.
- Profit from a guessed cost: weighted-average costing overwrites what you actually paid, so every margin is built on a cost that no longer exists.
- Books you can silently edit: if a past sale can be changed with no reversal trail, that is not accounting — it is a spreadsheet pretending to be one.
What we built instead
A precise decimal ledger with a FIFO cost core, verified by hundreds of automated tests so the math cannot quietly drift. 226+ features grew on top of that engine — POS, inventory, manufacturing, AI capture and 40+ reports — all reading from one verified ledger.
